Horse Farms and Stable Tours

The following are some suggested itineraries, which Dublin Racing Club (DRC) can arrange for you when traveling to the Irish sales, major race meetings or to view stallions – whatever aspect of the bloodstock industry that interests you.

Day 1-5

  • A bespoke four-five day tour of stallion farms tailored to suit your prospective breeding plans.
  • Please use our Stallion Search to compile your shortlist and contact DRC to arrange your visit.

  

Day 1

  • Arrive at Dublin Airport
  • Check in to your hotel – Kilkenny City
  • Attend the Breeze-Up – watch all lots, to be sold the following day, ‘breeze’ (gallop) at Gowran Park Racecourse
  • Enjoy the DRC BBQ at Gowran Park, directly after Breeze-Up
  • Return to Kilkenny to explore the city at your leisure

Day 2

  • Full day attending the Goresbridge Breeze-Up Sale
  • Return to Kilkenny after the sale
  • Dinner, booked by DRC, in a top-class Kilkenny restaurant

Day 3

  • Enjoy a tour of Kilkenny Castle
  • Arrive at the Curragh racecourse for the first Classic of the Irish season – the 2000 Guineas, Group 1
  • Lunch and hospitality in the DRC suite at the Curragh
  • After racing, dinner at a traditional Irish restaurant, followed by traditional Irish music

Day 4

  • Morning on the Curragh gallops
  • Visit the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens
  • Depart from Dublin Airport

  

Day 1

  • Arrive at Dublin Airport
  • Check in to your Hotel on the Curragh
  • Visit Gilltown Stud to view former World Champion Racehorse – SEA THE STARS (IRE)

Day 2

  • Morning on the Curragh gallops
  • Visit the Irish National Stud
  • Visit RACE – Racing Academy and Centre of Education
  • Shopping at Designer Outlet – Kildare Village

Day 3

  • Arrive at the Curragh racecourse for final Classic of the season – the Group 1 Irish St. Leger
  • Lunch and hospitality in DRC suite at the Curragh
  • Dinner at a traditional Irish restaurant followed by traditional Irish music

Day 4

  • A morning with a top trainer
  • Visit Coolmore Stud
  • Depart Dublin Airport

  

Day 1

  • Arrive at Dublin Airport
  • Visit Derrinstown Stud
  • Check in to your Hotel on the Curragh
  • Visit RACE- Racing Academy & Centre of Education

Day 2

  • Visit Gilltown Stud to view former World Champion Racehorse – SEA THE STARS (IRE)
  • Arrive at Curragh racecourse for the Juddmonte Beresford Stakes, Group 2
  • Lunch and hospitality in DRC suite at the races
  • Dinner at a traditional Irish restaurant followed by traditional Irish music

Day 3

  • Visit the Irish National Stud
  • Visit Kildangan Stud
  • Visit Goffs, on the evening before the sale, to view prospective yearlings for purchase

Day 4 & 5

  • Attend the Goffs ORBY yearling sale (Note: You may wish to stay for the one-day Goffs Sportman’s Yearling Sale follows the ORBY Sale)

  

Day 1

  • Arrive at Dublin Airport
  • Check into your Hotel in Naas town
  • Attend Twilight Racing at the famous Punchestown National Hunt Festival
  • Hospitality in the DRC Suite

Day 2

  • Morning on The Curragh Gallops with a top Trainer
  • Visit the Irish National Stud (Lunch at the Irish National Stud)
  • Attend Twilight Racing at the Punchestown National Hunt Festival
  • Attend the Goffs Punchestown Invitation Sale after racing
  • Dinner at a traditional Irish restaurant followed by traditional Irish music

Day 3

  • Visit Castlehyde Stud and or Rathbarry Stud (depending on time frame)
  • Depart Cork airport

  

Day 1

  • Arrive at Dublin Airport
  • Attend the Tattersalls Ireland Derby Sale
  • Check into your Hotel, on the Curragh

Day 2

  • Visit the Irish National Stud and Japanese Gardens
  • Twilight Racing at The Curragh for prestigious Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby
  • Hospitality at DRC Suite at the Curragh
  • Dinner at a traditional Irish restaurant followed by traditional Irish music

Day 3

  • Morning on The Curragh Gallops with a top trainer
  • Attend Group 1 racing at The Curragh
  • Depart Dublin Airport or early the next morning
